My name is&nbsp; Julian Toppo,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">and I\u2019d like to share a quick story about my interview.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I recently finished three technical rounds for a job I wanted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I felt confident that I would get the offer but in the final interview,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I asked some questions that the interviewer didn\u2019t like.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This led to my rejection.<br>Have you ever left an interview feeling like you missed an opportunity?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, I\u2019ll share what I&nbsp; learned about questions to avoid in interviews,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;so you can make a good impression!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1. Salary and Benefits&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First and foremost, you should avoid asking about salary and benefits too early.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The reason is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Asking about money too early can make it seem&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">like you care more about the salary than the job role itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Example:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Instead of asking, \u201cWhat\u2019s the salary for this position?\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wait for the interviewer to mention it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You might say,<strong> \u201cI\u2019m really excited about this opportunity.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Can you tell me more about the team and projects?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2. <strong>Vacation and Time Off&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second thing you should never discuss during the interview is<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Inquiring about vacation policies or flexible timings before you get an offer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The reason is::&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This can make you seem less committed to the job&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And who wants to work with someone who seems less committed?. Nobody!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Example:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Rather than asking, \u201cHow many vacation days do I get?\u201d&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>you could say, \u201cWhat does a typical day look like for someone in this role?\u201d or<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><strong>What are the key projects I would be working on in the first few months?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3. N<strong>egative Questions <\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The third question that one should avoid is&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">asking negative questions about work hours or company culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The reason is ::&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s important to stay positive and focused on the positive aspects of the role. \ud83d\udc4f<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Example:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Instead of asking, \u201cDo you have a lot of late nights?\u201d consider asking,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhat are some recent challenges the team has tackled?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>4. Repeating Questions&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Avoid asking questions that have already been answered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The reason is:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Repeating questions can indicate you weren\u2019t paying attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Example:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the interviewer explained the team structure, don\u2019t ask about it again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Instead, say,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cI appreciated your earlier explanation about the team. <\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><strong>Can you share how collaboration works?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">5<strong>.
